Colin Farrell may be playing the lead, Doug Quaid, in the remake of 'Total Recall', but the star admitted that he's surprised to even still be in Hollywood as in his days as a hell raising bad boy, he annoyed film bosses so much that they wouldn't even see him.
Farrell used to be known as one of Hollywood's wild men, checking into rehab in 2005, but now the 'Miami Vice star has settled down and is back in favour in tinseltown.
However, when speaking to Men's Health magazine the actor admitted that his antics had taken a toll on his career, to the extent that he found it difficult to even get considered for roles.
Farrell said: “I had burned so many bridges in the film industry that I couldn’t get a f*****g meeting."
Talking about his current peace of mind he added: “But now I’m just enjoying life... “One of the big things I was drawn to about drugs was the ritual. “I don’t put the same level of energy into healthy living as I did into unhealthy living, but I eat really well, drink loads of green tea and take a load of vitamins.
However the the Irishman admitted that he's not completely comfortable with his new relaxed life, concluding: “It’s so boring... life has mutated to take on this sweet simplicity that I am really f*****g OK with.”
