Leona Lewis has revealed that she has a secret talent for rapping which could rival Nicki Minaj's skills.

The singer is set to release her third album Glassheart on October 15 and said that fans can expect to hearing her rap on it.

"On my new album I will be rapping. I've discovered my voice for rapping," she said during a live stream.

''I could probably go up against Nicki Minaj now. I'm actually that good, so I'm coming for you Nicki!" she joked. "London-style MCing.''

The Hackney born star debuted a couple of new tracks during her performance at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend last weekend (June 23).

The first of the tracks was titled 'Come Alive' and fans seem to take to the song immediately, as Leona egged them on and told them to 'show it some love.'

The 'Bleeding Love' star spoke to the Daily Star recently about the eagerly-awaited upcoming album, saying: "This album is going to be more open because I've got to work with people I've bonded with."

"It's such a nice way to make an album as I've never done that before. People will hear a whole new side of me."

"It's really refreshing for me to have so much control and Fraser has given me a lot of power in what I'm doing so it's been different."
