Blur Perform Rare Tracks At Intimate Maida Vale Show

Band streamed session online to fabs

Blur are set to play to thousands at next week's Hyde Park show but before that the band gave fans a special treat as the played two intimate gigs at London's Maida Vale Studios yesterday (July 31).

The Damon Albarn fronted band streamed the gig from a secret UK location via a live video stream for BBC Radio 6Music.

Their exclusive session included 'Caramel', a track from the band's 1999 album '13' and Young & Lovely', a 1993 B-Side.

The 12-song set, included 'Popscene', 'For Tomorrow'. 'Tender', new single 'Under The Westway', 'The Universal' and the first airing of 'Mr Briggs' since 1999.

Damon Albarn and co will perform at the legendary 100 club on August 2 as part of Converse's 'Represent' series of free shows.

To get tickets, fans need to visit Converse.co.uk/blur from 9am on Wednesday August 1, with registration open until 6pm.

Plan B, Nas, Paul Weller and Santigold are amongst the other acts confirmed to play a series of free gigs at London's legendary 100 Club next month.

The season of shows, called Represent, will run between July 30 and August 10 in London. The announced nine shows, which will feature 45 artists including Toots and The Maytals, UK Subs, Overkill, Kano, John Talabot, Django Django, Best Coast and other special guests.

Blur will join New Order and The Specials at a special concert to mark the end of the Summer's Olympics in London.

The huge concert will take place in London's Hyde Park On August 12 and will see Blur headline.
