Rupert Sanders' wife Liberty Ross was said to have suspected that her director husband was having an affair but was “shocked and disgusted” to find out that it was Kristen Stewart especially after striking up such a close friendship with her on the set of 'Snow White and the Huntsman'.
Liberty thought Kristen, who is said to be in hiding following the revelation that she cheated on boyfriend of three years Robert Pattinson was too young to be interested in the 41 year-old and though she questioned her husband of seven years he told her he was “too busy” on 'SWATH' to cheat.
A source told HollywoodLife: “She was suspicious about Rupert possibly having an affair, but kept saying, ‘No way, because he is so consumed with Snow White, he would never ever have the time.’ She had absolutely no idea that Rupert was having an affair with Kristen.”
When she found out the 33 year-old was said to be deeply shocked, especially as she had grown so close to both Rob and Kristen.
The source added: “She was shocked and disgusted.”
“First of all Kristen is so young and they all double dated, she thought Rob and Kristen made the most adorable couple.
“She even told Kristen how lucky she was to have such a dedicated boyfriend,” the source added.
Though she is upset by her husband's betrayal, Liberty is said to be giving the father of her two children another chance.
The source explained: “Liberty has not been happy in the relationship for some time,”
“Liberty has decided to give Rupert a second chance because of the kids. Plus Rupert has agreed to go to couple’s counseling.”
In an interview with You magazine talking of her move to Hollywood earlier this year Libery admitted she felt “isolated” and that her husband was absent “a lot”, even claiming that she was “raising her children alone.”
