As the search goes on to find a celebrity to replace Steven Tyler on American Idol, it appears that the show's bosses are getting a bit of help from their latest recruit Mariah Carey who has allegedly put forward Pharrell Williams as a possible judge.
According to HollywoodLife, the 'We Belong Together' star wants to see Pharrell join her on the reality TV panel because she is "really interested in working alongside him.”
Beliving that Mariah's requests are being taken seriously, the source added: "The people at Fox and Idol are very much taking her requests seriously.”
Indeed they are, as an insider informed Us Weekly: "Everything is looking good, but they’re still working out details."
However, Pharrell isn't the only one who has been linked to a role on the show. After claiming that Randy Jackson will leave the panel to become a mentor, the source revealed that the show's bosses are keen to sign Nick Jonas.
The insider said: "Nick is pretty close to signing to be the Idol judge. They flew him in to L.A. last week for final meetings.”
What do you think? Would you like to see Pharrell and Nick on the panel?
