The cast of Modern Family will no longer be suing 20th Century Fox following the news that the dispute over pay has been settled.

It was reported last week that the cast including TVs highest paid woman Sofia Vegara, Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell were suing 20th Century Fox after the cast's request of a pay rise was dismissed. As a result, the first day of the cast reading was cancelled as none of the cast turned up, according to Deadline.

However it appears that the cast and the show's bosses have now come to a compomise. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast will now reportedly get $170,000-$175,000 per episode up from the $65,000 they were getting before.

Speaking about the agreement, co-creator Steve Levitan said: "It's no surprise, but I'm of course thrilled and I cannot wait to get on stage Monday morning and start making the show again."

Claiming that the dispute was a "distraction", co-creator Christopher Lloyd added: "It was a distraction more than anything. And I think the cast feels the same way. It was never arduous. Now other people can go on with the numbers and we'll go on with the letters."

We're glad they've got it all sorted! We can't wait for the new series!
