So the X Factor judge's have been told which categories they'll be mentoring this year and Gary Barlow seems to have picked the short straw in drawing the Over 25's. We want you to vote on which will be the winning category based on their judges!
Alongside Barlow, Tulisa will be mentoring the girls while newcomer Nicole Scherzinger will be looking after the boys and finally Louis, who must be over the moon for not getting the Over 25's for a change, instead he'll be charged with overseeing the groups.
Typically the over 25's have been some what of a bad omen on the ITV talent show, so much so there hasn't been a winner in that category since Steve Brookstein won the very first show back in 2004! Barlow will certainly have a difficult job ahead of him in trying to cultivate a winner , as audiences are used to novelty acts when it comes to the over's..does the name Wagner ring any bells?
If anyone can do it though its Gary Barlow, speaking to The Sun's TVBiz a source said: “Gary doesn’t like joke acts and the Overs category is often full of novelty acts.
“In the past, when Louis has mentored them, the public got used to jokey acts like Wagner Carrilho and Johnny Robinson.
“Gary is preparing himself for an uphill battle.”
It'll certainly be interesting to watch, as we'll get a chance to see how much impact judges can have, Louis will hopefully fair better than normal in the group category, as he made his name with some incredibly famous groups like Westlife and Girls Aloud
The Boys and Girls categories are obviously the most sought after, Nicole and Tulisa will no doubt be thrilled with their categories, both are former group artists turned solo so they should have plenty of advice for the young performers in their care!
