We think that Chery Cole's niece Melissa Armstrong might have solved the mystery of the singer's incredibly slender frame. Melissa revealed to Virgin Media "Cheryl tells us that if she gets stressed with me, she can't eat." Cheryl's had more than her fair share of boy trouble over the years - you can see how that could put her off her food.
Melissa says that when all is well with Cheryl, she does enjoy a treat:
"I know Cheryl loves her takeaways...and she joked that she'd become a pop star and put on weight and that definitely wasn't what was supposed to happen. We always have a Chinese takeaway - her favourite is duck."
Melissa is adamant that Cheryl is as down to earth as anyone she knows - and stresses how normal she is. "She's a very proud Geordie girl. She's someone you can just go up and chat to at a party. She loves you to call her up and tell her wnat's going on - who's just ordered a new washing machine and that."
We can't say we're surprised - Cheryl sounds like our kind of girl!
