Lily Allen appears to have well and truly settled into countryside living with reports that she has purchased a pair of race horses!
Lily moved out of London to her Gloucestershire country pile with her husband Sam Cooper last year. With baby Ethel, eight months, and another little one on the way, it looks like the star has expanded her brood even further with the purchase of two horses.
According to the Mail Online, Lily and Sam have bought a thoroughbred colt called Polish Rider and a part-share in a second horse, Ombrellino. Lily visited East Everleigh Stables, near Marlborough in Wiltshire, last week with Sam and Ethel to meet Polish Rider.
The family watched the the two-year-old be put through his paces by ex-jockey Richard Smith and champion trainer Richard Hannon. Mr Hannon’s son, Richard Hannon Jnr, told the Mail:
"It was great to have Lily in the yard and her presence cheered the lads up. Polish Rider is good-looking and he’s a big, imposing sort."
Lily has also bought a share in two-year-old Ombrellino, who is being trained for flat racing by Sir Henry who has previously trained four Epsom Derby winners. Lily joins a growing list of celebrities who have invested in race horses including Wayne and Coleen Rooney.
Here's hoping Lil's horse fares better than the Rooney's, who finished dead last in his debut race earlier this year...
