Joshua Jackson has revealed that he's started thinking about having kids with partner Diane Kruger, because he's 'at that age'. The news came after he admitted that their first date back in 2006 was a total disaster!
The 'Dawson's Creek' actor has explained how his first date with Diane Kruger did not go to plan, after the actress had an allergic reaction to a blooming flower in the restaurant they were dining in.
The 'Fringe' actor, who was spotted at Katsuya in Hollywood with the actress last night (July 26), has admitted that their first date went from bad to worse.
After Diane's allergic reaction to the flower, Josh tried to cover his nerves by talking non-stop. He then worried that his intelligible babble would put off the stunning blonde, and was surprised when she agreed to a second date. Aww!
He told Us Weekly: "Our first date was a miserable one. I took her to an Italian restaurant, and there was some flower that was blooming. She was allergic to it so she sniffled and sneezed the entire time!"
The 34-year-old star continued: "And when I get nervous, you might have noticed I talk a lot. So I just chewed her ear off for an hour and a half. It was amazing. I'm surprised she ever called back."
Last night's date certainly seemed more successful with the pair smiling as they left the sushi restaurant. Diane looked stylish in baby pink jeans and a leopard print top while her beau looked dapper in grey jeans and a blue shirt.
Together since 2006, Joshua and once-married Diane, 36, are now thinking of starting a family. He said: "I mean, I'm at that age."
For now though, he is focused on wrapping up the fifth and final season of "Fringe".
He said: "The focus right now is to just make sure that all the things we were paying lip service to we actually believe. We really want to have the opportunity to kick ass this last year, so that we can honour the dedication and the commitment people have put into it, and also our own commitment to the show."
He added: "Since we were given this pretty rare opportunity to finish up on our own terms, we want to make sure those terms are good."
