Joanna Lumley, who plays Patsy Stone in the hugely popular sitcom Absolutely Fabulous has she'd she love to star in a big screen outing of the comedy, on the condition that co star Jennifer Saunders writes it!
"It's all up to Jennifer Saunders if there will be more. If she writes a film, I'll be in it", the actress told The Metro.
It's 20 years since the first one. It makes us laugh too much to let the characters go. It's all up to Jennifer Saunders if there will be more. If she writes a film, I'll be in it."
First appearing on our screens back in 1992, Lumley as Patsy became an instant icon of comedy as the shambling, alcoholic fashionista always seen with fag in mouth and a drink in her hand!
She recently reprised the role for a one of Olympic special and ran a leg of the Olympic torch relay with Jennifer, although sadly not in character!
Back in 2011 , Saunders announced she wanted to make a film and had plans to write one. British comedies being adapted into movie version has always been a hit and miss affair, but we're sure Saunders can pull it off!
We hope she will!
