Kristen Stewart’s personal life may be suffering, but in her professional life things are going well.
According to Variety, Stewart has assisted in casting her on-screen love interest in the upcoming thriller, Cali: Magic Mike actor Alex Pettyfer is in final negotiations for that role.
The film is centered on high school lovebirds May and Chris who fake a snuff film, sell the video, run away with the money, but decide to return home to Los Angeles years later.
It will be Stewart’s first project as a credited producer. While doing press rounds for Snow White and the Huntsman, Stewart told NTV News: "Hopefully after all of this we can go and we can do it in the summer, like lock ourselves away for a few weeks in the Valley [in L.A.] in a little production office and get together really weird, freaky actor people. It's filled with like the coolest characters."
She referred to the movies as "extremely violent [and] extremely funny."
Nick Cassavetes is set to direct.
