'Britney's Mean And Demi's A Brat' Jokes Cowell

The American X Factor has barely just begun and Simon Cowell has already got his claws out by taking shots at his fellow judges, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato

Although its all in jest, he says! According to the Daily Mail, Cowell made the comments about Spears during a video link interview where he said: "I was fascinated with her as a person, as a pop star, and there's something intriguing about her," adding "And she's a really good judge."

Despite his characteristic barb tongued humour, Spears had nothing but good to things to say about her boss, saying: "I adore Simon and it was something I really wanted to do," she also said that being a judge on X Factor "made sense for her career".

Alongside regulars Cowell and L.A , Lovato is the second youngest Judge on X Factor after  Pixie Lott who guest judged on the UK version back in 2010. Lott received a lot of criticism and was branded for being far too young, but only time will tell if Lovato will get the same kind of attacks, after all she is only 19.

Keen to explain why she is perfectly qualified for the role of a judge, Lovato said: "I'm listening to the radio and I know what a lot of my friends like," Adding "It's a really interesting thing when you bring a younger demographic to the competition. I think we know what's missing in the industry and what's needed."

Kevin Reilly, a Fox executive said of Spears: ''She is not afraid to lay it on the line. She’s tough. She knows what she’s doing. She’s been around, she’s seen it all and she definitely lays it on the line."

So will 'feisty' Spears butt heads with TV's Mr Nasty? Lets hope so as it'll provide some fantastic television! Lovato and Spears will definitely add a fresh dynamic to the show, especially as they're practically at different ends of the spectrum in terms of the music careers!
