We've definitely seen a new side to Katie Holmes since she filed for divorce for Tom Cruise just a few short weeks ago (June 28) and it seems this strong, sexy new side of the actress is here to stay as sultry photos from a shoot done on the day before she filed for divorce from the actor show.
As she prepared to leave the Hollywood icon the star sat down with C Magazine in the US and looked full of confidence as she struck a series of risqué poses. Every inch the sex siren the brunette can be seen pouting into the camera in her raciest shoot yet.

Despite being on the eve of the divorce Katie looks relaxed and oozes sex appeal and in the accompanying interview gives no hint that she is preparing to file for divorce. It has already been reported that the actress had a new security team and home in place by the time she started divorce proceedings that reportedly “blindsided” her husband of five years who was shooting his new movie 'Oblivion' in Iceland and gearing up to celebrate his 50th birthday only days later.
Editor, Kelsey McKinnon admitted that she had no idea what the actress had been planning but there had been “signs”.
She told WWD: “Going back over the tapes, there were signs: Holmes was certainly very aware of herself, laying a couple cards on the table but never showing her whole hand.
“Most noticeably, the one name decisively absent from her lexicon: Tom Cruise. She never actually refers to him by name over pages and pages of transcription.”
This 'new' confident Katie was evident in an interview with Elle magazine just weeks before the split when she talked about feeling sexy and a new “phase” in her life.
She revealed: “I always felt like a little girl before. I didn’t even know what sexy was. Anytime you feel good about yourself, you embody sexiness. It’s almost like a power or a confidence or a secret. I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin.
Katie added: “I feel sexier. I think in my 20s, it’s like you’re trying too hard to figure everything out. I’m starting to come into my own. It’s like a new phase.”
