Police were called to the Jackson home in Calabasas, California yesterday (July 23) after a reported disturbance between family members according to reports in the US and took a battery report. L.A. County Sheriff's Deputies reportedly went to the Jackson family home as someone inside accused someone else present of a physical assault.
While deputies took a report, no arrests were actually made at the scene. Shortly after the police responded to the alleged battery at Katherine Jackson's home according to TMZ there was a heated exchange between Janet Jackson and Jermaine Jackson, two of her children outside of the family home.
It comes after a strange week for the Jackson family who are at odds over the will of the late Michael Jackson. Earlier this week the 86 year-old was reported missing by his teenage daughter Paris, with the 15 year-old claiming that she had not spoken to her grandmother for a week.
Jermaine later released a statement claiming that it had been a “misunderstanding” and that his mother was safe and well in Arizona with a family member.
Steve Whitmore confirmed to TMZ confirmed that Lost Hills deputies from the Sheriff's Dept. had visited the Jackson home in Calabasas and went on to reveal that they had also been investigating reports that the Jackson family members had been emotionally and financially mistreating Katherine Jackson after allegations from a business associate were made in April this year.
The 86 year-old reportedly denied the claim.
Reps for the Jackson family have been contacted.
