Suri Cruise became a style icon before she could even walk but it seems her love affair with fashion is over as mum Katie Holmes has put her foot down and said no more to her daughter's elaborate wardrobe and accessories.
It seems the 33 year-old actress, who split from husband of five years Tom Cruise only a few weeks ago (June 28) doesn't want the attention that Suri sporting heels, make-up and designer clothes brings and has been returning gifts and taking the child's name off freebie lists.
“Katie has been returning unsolicited gifts and loans from designers for Suri since she arrived in New York,” a source told Reveal magazine.
“She’s issued instructions to remove Suri from all freebie lists. She’s also put the word out in LA to stop any mini-me diva products being sent her way.” Since the split Katie has gone to great lengths to give her daughter a more “normal” lifestyle.
Enrolling her in school for the first time and downsizing from mansions to a modest apartment but that might prove a problem for father Tom Cruise who can't help indulge his little girl.
The source added: “Tom loved to spoil Suri and indulge her, but Katie has other ideas.”
