Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne character in The Dark Knight Rises is said to have a dapper wardrobe which projects ''strength and consistency’’ throughout the highly-anticipated movie.
The Hollywood actor, who reprised his role as Batman in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy finale, has been lucky enough to don a designer wardrobe for the whole length of filming. Lucky lad!
Giorgio Armani reunited with costume designer Lindy Hemming to create Bruce Wayne’s wardrobe after previously working on 2008’s The Dark Knight.
And all was revealed when the iconic designer couldn’t keep quiet and gushed about the exciting, high-profile project. He said: "In the lexicon of superheroes, it's an honour to be associated with such an intriguing character as Bruce Wayne," he told WWD magazine, and added that he "[sought to project] strength and consistency in Wayne's edgy, mysterious world."
And it wasn’t just Christian who donned a diva-style designer wardrobe, with Armani also outfitting his co-star’s Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
The Italian designer also created accessories for Anne Hathaway, who plays Catwoman in the highly-anticipated movie.
Costumer Lindy thinks there is no better choice for Christian’s suave character than Armani, as she said: "We had established Wayne's elegant tailored look in contrast to his iconic Batman persona."
"Giorgio Armani's luxury suiting continues to offer the perfect visual look for him."
