Katie Holmes is heading back to Broadway! The actress has taken her first part since splitting up with Tom Cruise in comedy 'Dead Accounts'.
It was announced yesterday that Holmes, 35, has signed on to play Lorna in 'Smash' producer Theresa Rebeck's new play 'Dead Accounts'.
The actress, 33, filed for divorce from 50-year old Cruise at the end of June, amid much media speculation, and set up house in New York before she launched back into her acting career.
The pair settled their divorce in less than two weeks, leaving Katie with sole physical custody of six-year old daughter Suri.
The Dawson's Creek star has since filmed an episode of Project Runway: All Stars and is also reported to be working on indie film 'Molly' which she co-wrote and produced.
The play follows a family rocked by an unexpected return and looks at topics of family bonds, small town values and corporate greed.
Good luck Katie, we are sure she will rock it!
