Tom Cruise was totally shocked that his estranged wife Katie Holmes filed for divorce, and has been asking himself how he didn't see it coming, according to reports.
People magazine have revealed that a source said that the 'Mission: Impossible' actor "was thinking 'What did I not see?'" when Katie filed the papers earlier this month.
The former couple reached a divorce settlement in just 11 days following Katie's statement and it was thought to include the actress having primary custody of their six-year-old daughter Suri.
While details of their complex agreement have not been revealed, it's been reported that it contains restrictions about religion. But a source has said that he won't be hiding anything from his youngest child.
"Tom is not ashamed of his beliefs, " an insider told People," and won't hide them from his daughter."
Following the split, the actor's lawyer Bert Fields said that Tom was "sad" but not "bitter" about the split and that he "tried his best to do what's right for Suri".
Tom and his daughter were reunited in New York yesterday. He picked the tot up from her mother's New York apartment but only spent a mere five minutes inside.
