After starring as one of Kristen Stewart's love interests in the hit 'Snow White And The Huntsman' this year, Sam Claflin looks as if he's destined for Hollywood blockbuster gold with 'The Hunger Games' sequel 'Catching Fire'.
The British star could be playing the coveted role of Finnick Odair in the new movie, opposite Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.
Sources have reportedly told Zap2it that Sam has been offered the role, with Lionsgate and the movie's producer Nina Jacobson all agreeing on the actor for the part.
Stars including Armie Hammer, Taylor Kitsch and Garrett Hedlund were reportedly contenders for the role and even 'Twilight' actor Robert Pattinson admitted that he was "curious" about the role.
But let's face it, surely R-Pattz has had enough of franchises for a while? Lionsgate recently confirmed the role of 'Pulp Fiction' actress Amanda Plummer for the new movie, as female tribute Wiress.
"The character's eccentricity earns her the nickname 'Nuts' from fellow tributes, and though she doesn't communicate traditionally, her observations and contributions prove invaluable in the Quarter Quell," they explained.
'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' is set to start shooting later this year, ahead of its release on November 22, 2013.
