Charlie Sheen has reacted to the reports that he has been linked to the role of American Idol judge by saying that it "makes perfect sense" for him to join the show.
The former The Two And A Half Men actor was first linked to the show when American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe expressed his interest in getting Charlie on the show following the departure of Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez.
Speaking to AI host Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM show, the actor said: "It seems so out of the blue that it almost made perfect sense.
"I thought this could be a lot of fun. Seriously... I'm genuinely interested. It's so different, it could be radical."
Charlie's interest in joining American Idol comes after the star revealed that he was planning to quit Hollywood.
We wonder what remaining judge Randy Jackson would think of Charlie joining the panel?
Miley Cyrus, Adam Lambert and Beyonce have also been linked to the role.
Who would you like to see on the American Idol judging panel?
