Miley Cyrus and 'The Hunger Games' star Jennifer Lawrence were said to be having an "all-out war" following the actress's close relationship with co-star Liam Hemsworth, but now the actor has put the rumours to be insisting that Miley is 'Team Katniss'.
In an interview with Glamour magazine, the 22-year-old has opened up about playing the role of Gale Hawthorne in the hit franchise ahead of filming for the sequel 'Catching Fire' that's set to start later this year.
Liam definitely sides with his own character when it comes to the Gale vs Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), as he said: "I relate to Gale more. I feel like my decisions would've been similar to his decisions in those situations. I'd be trying to figure out a way to stop [the Games] or fight back."
When asked which side Miley is on, he said: "She says she's Team Katniss."
Liam also revealed that when it comes to fan attention, it's still Miley who gets requested for a photo more - depending on the age.
"If it's a really young person, it's usually for her," he explained. "But people do like to take photos of us together because of The Last Song."
Earlier this year, it was reported that the girls were far from friends and the atmosphere was certainly frosty between them
"It started when Miley tried to give Jen advice about handling fame," an insider told Now magazine. "It was a bit of an insult as Jen's been working since she was 15 - and has already been nominated for an Oscar for Winter's Bone."
The source added: "So Miley got the shock of her life when Jen told her to mind her own business. Now it's pretty much all-out war."
