Demi Lovato has given up her mobile phone in a bid to make her life 'healthier', how will Niall Horan get a hold of his flirt buddy?!
The 'American Idol' judge has confessed to Self magazine that she hasn't used her cell phone in months and she feels all the better for it! The singer has famously battled some demons in the past including a stint in rehab two years ago to address issues including bipolar,, self-harming and an eating disorder.
Now though, Demi seems to have turned her life around, winning the coveted judging spot on 'Idol' and indulging in some online flirting with One Direction's Niall. Demi reckons it's all down to a healthy new lifestyle:
"I make time for myself and meditate. I've spent the past two years getting over an eating disorder and issues like self-harming and bipolar disorder. I have to work on this stuff every day. I'm reminded of that whenever I eat or feel down "
"I haven't used my cell (phone) in three months! Subconsciously, it was a crutch. When a room gets quiet, what do you do? Grab your phone! Now I can sit and have conversations with people."
Lovato goes on to reveal she turned to self-harming to deal with crippling bouts of anxiety, explaining, "There were times I felt so anxious, almost like I was crawling out of my skin - that if I didn't do something physical to match the way I felt inside, I would explode. I cut myself to take my mind off that. I just didn't care what happened. I had no fear."
Here's hoping Demi's new regime doesn't include giving up Skype, Niall would miss their flirty banter for sure!
