Speaking at Comic-Con on Thursday (12th July) Robert Pattinson has revealed what it was like to play a father with an 11 year-old daughter in the fourth and final Twilight movie.
The teen heartthrob's vampire character is a proud dad to Renesmee, who his wife Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) gave birth to in the last installment.
Pattinson admitted to MTV News at the San Diego event that it was very odd to play a father, as he is used to playing teenagers!
The 'Harry Potter' star said playing older roles is making him realise that he too is becoming an adult:
"It's really strange, and it's kind of hitting me at this period [in my life] when I'm thinking, 'Oh, I'm not a kid anymore,' when I'm playing it, so it's a strange experience, suddenly making that transition to playing fathers of 11-year-olds."
I've been playing a 17-year-old for five years."
The megastar went on to admit that he finds the whole thing a little confusing:
"For Edward, he kind of just started to relax in ['Breaking Dawn - Part 1'], and also, he's a father. I have an 11-year-old kid in this.
It's completely different; he's like an adult," Pattinson marveled.
Asked what he thinks about Comic-Con, Pattinson said:
"It's kind of like one of the big premieres, but you can actually have an interaction with [fans]. With the premieres, it's just screaming, and you're just kind of wandering around in a daze. Here, it's a show, so it's kind of fun — a really, really high-intensity show."
We wonder if he'll be a real dad soon... he and Kristen have denied baby rumours, but she's reported to have said she'd 'love to have Robert's babies' - so watch this space!
