With a cast including Plan B and Ray Winstone 'The Sweeney' promises to be this years' primary British cops, crime and cockneys caper, with Winstone and Ben Drew (the rapper's birth name) taking on the roles of Jack Regan and George Carter in the film version of the much loved 1970s police drama.
The film is directed by Nick Love of 'The Football Factory', and if the trailers are anything to go buy then it'll stick to his tried and tested formula that makes his British crime movies a hit with audiences across the UK.
From the trailer we can see that the lads are after a gang with an uncanny ability to disguise themselves, as well as a scruffy fugitive who they're not going to pussyfoot around while interrogating.
As expected there'll be gunfights, arguments and lots of Ray Winstone looking utterly furious with various people or objects.
