If you were hoping to see Katy Perry joining American Idol when the show returns next year, you're going to be very disappointed following Katy's admission that a role on the show is "not right" for her at the moment.
The 'I Kissed A Girl' star, who stood in as a guest judge on the X Factor UK in 2010, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that she has been approached but has decided not to commit to a show like American Idol.
The star said: "People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved, and it's not right for me yet.
"It's a real commitment to be on one of those shows… I have ideas for two or three big, creative things, and I want to be able to fulfil those ideas."
Whilst Katy might be hesitant in joining American Idol, Adam Lambert, who has also been linked to the role of a judge on the show, said that he would be "thrilled" to do it.
