Usher's family friend is reportedly under investigation in relation to the jet ski accident that that has left the singer's son 'brain dead'.
The family's friend Jeffrey S. Hubbard from Atlanta is now under investigation following the accident that occurred on Friday afternoon leaving Kyle Glover, 11, in a critical condition, reports the New York Daily News.
The child was riding in an inner tube on Georgia's Lake Lanier along with a 15-year-old girl, who was also hit in the accident. Both children were wearing life jackets.
"Basically, a pontoon was pulling two juveniles on an inner tube, and the watercraft ran over the top of them," Sgt Mike Burgamy with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said.
Two rangers witnessed the accident, but alcohol is not thought to be a factor and the investigators are not under the belief that it could have been a mechanical malfunction.
According to reports, the girl's face was under the water when she was rescued while the boy's face was not under the water, so 'partial drowning' is not thought to be a factor in his injuries.
“One minute the jet ski was running around, the next he ran over the top of them. It happened that quickly,” Burgamy said. “It appears the watercraft did strike both juveniles, with the male taking the brunt of the force.”
Both of the victims were airlifted to the Child's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
His mother Tameka Foster, Usher's ex-wife, told RadarOnline: "He's bad"
Meanwhile stars, including Justin Bieber, have tweeted their messages to Usher and asked fans to pray for the family.
It is thought that any potential charges really depends on the boy's health.
“It depends on the male’s condition. With certain things we have to wait and see. Once we gather all our info, we’ll talk to the District Attorney and discuss it with them to decide what action to take.”
Our thoughts are with Usher, Tameka and their family.
