Melanie Chisholm may have wowed everyone with her glamorous new look, but she's admitted that deep down she's a practical lady.
She recently revealed to the Belfast Telegraph that being a working mum can be tough. “Luckily I have lovely people that help me look after Scarlet and her dad's around a lot as well. So I think it's just like any working Mum, trying to fit stuff in. You just have to be organised. That's the key.”
Mel's organisational skills will be pushed to the limit when she appears as Mary Magdalene in 'Jesus Christ Superstar' when Andrew Lloyd Webber revives his hit musical. Although she's said she's “nervous and excited” about the experience, she isn't worried about performing:
“I'm kind of working anyway, I'm doing various shows with my band, and that's great preparation to be out there, singing live and keeping the vocals strong.”
She admits that for her, singing is a stronger suite than acting. “It will be quite nice to get some more acting experience, because it's quite limited really. I've only done the one show.”
