Frank Ocean has been making the headlines all over the world after making a hugely 'brave' step after writing an open letter to his fans discussing his sexuality, revealing that he 'fell in love with a man'.
The singer, who is part of the hip-hop collective Odd Future, published his note earlier this week, in a move that has been praised by stars including Beyonce's sister Solange Knowles, Russell Simmons and his mother.
Ocean worked with Beyonce on her recent album 4, and he revealed that when she first heard the track that he wrote she cried.
According to the New York Times, he said: "She came in and heard the song, and shed a tear and recorded it and I wanted to shed a tear."
Jay-Z and Beyonce are big fans of the 'Novacane' hitmaker, as he also put down two hooks for 'Watch The Throne', Jay-Z's collaborative album with Kanye West. Jay-Z wrote on his website Life & Times to comment on Frank Ocean's decision to 'come out'.
"We admire the great courage and beauty and fearlessness in your coming out, not only as a bisexual Black man, but as a broken hearted one. The tender irony that your letter is to a boy who was unable to return your love until years later because he was living a lie is the only truly tragic detail about your letter," he said.
