In tonight’s installment of Big Brother, Turf Wars continued, as the housemates battled in tasks and challenges for control of different areas of the house. Housemates have been divided into blue and green teams.

Last night saw the green team take control of the kitchen and the blue team grab the living room. Tonight, first up for the taking was the bathroom.

Luke S was very vocal about his longing for the bathroom, when talking to Big Brother in the diary room. He said he would put the “bathroom above the bedroom” as he didn’t want to have to shower in the garden.

With Luke S prepared for battle, housemates were called into the garden to take part in the a gunge-related task. Caroline read out the instructions, doing nothing to hide her disgust at what was to come. She informed housemates they had to remove “gross ducks” from gunge-filled toilets and drop them in the “disgusting bath,” using only their mouths.

Big Brother underlined that no hands may be used at any time. It’s a shame that one housemate didn’t take notice of the rules.

As the task began the greens took the lead, however the blues were quick to close the gap. Becky (green team) got confused over which toilet she was searching in and so gave the blues a chance to overtake – which they did and seemingly won.

When Big Brother came to announcing the winner he said that the blue team were the quickest to move the ten ducks HOWEVER Sara used her hands and so the blue team were eliminated, leaving the green team to take control of the bathroom.

Conor and Caroline were less than impressed at the result, especially as the green team cheered in celebration. Conor mocked them for cheering when they “lost” whilst Luke S pointed out they won because the blue team cheated. Adam told them to let it go whilst Sara apologized profusely.

Later in the diary room Becky told Big Brother the blue team were “mortified”. She particualry pin-pointed Conor as being “moody” and said it was probably because he was up for eviction.

As a result of losing the challenge the blue team have to shower outside, using a small camp shower, with cold water. And things didn’t look up for the blue team, as next up was the battle for the bedroom.

Speaking before the challenge Sara said she didn’t want to lose the bedroom, as she was worried about not being able to look in the mirror or have her clothes in order. She was particularly concerned that by moving her clothes she wouldn’t know what she had worn and what she hadn’t.

Unfortunately for Sara the blue team lost the task and her clothes were no longer ordered. The task saw Deana, Caroline, Becky, Lauren, Conor and Scott be given quotes said about them by housemates, in the diary room. They then had to identify who said it. Let’s just say the quotes weren’t the most complimentary..

The Blue team correctly identified 2 of the quotes however the green team raced to glory with 3 correct identifications. As the greens took control, the blues were clearly told that they must not enter the bedroom.

However housemates being housemates someone had to break the rules. Ashleigh entered the bedroom to collect something but it didn’t escape Big Brother’s notice. The housemates were called to the living room to be told of the rule breaking and to be informed of the punishment: the blue team must wash all the dishes of the green team, with no exceptions. Ashleigh was not impressed but rules are rules – and we all know how Big Brother likes his rules.

Do you like the turf wars task or is it causing unnessecary tension?
