Dawn French will be joining the judging panel on Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber's newest musical venture, Superstar. The show aims to find the perfect Jesus for a role in the musical 'Jesus Christ Superstar'.
Dawn told Digital Spy that she wants to find a sexy Jesus for the UK arena tour of the classic rock opera show.
Dawn will be joined on the judging panel by Spice Girl Mel C, Jason Donovan and Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber himself.
When asked what she was looking for, Dawn said: “A splendid voice and a 26-pack – if there is such a thing! If there was, Jesus would have it.”
Dawn continued: “I will be looking out for someone who can blow your socks off each night. Plenty of people are very good on stage but very few are remarkable."
“I am hoping we will find someone like that.” she added.
As we recently reported, Dawn is also set to reunite with comedy partner Jennifer Saunders later this year to recreate some of their French & Saunders magic – in the TV special, Five Go To Rehab.
Superstar begins this Saturday at 7.25pm on ITV1.
