Lorraine Kelly was reduced to floods of tears after an encounter with HRH Queen Elizabeth II... but in a GOOD way!
TV presenter Lorraine sobbed as the Queen presented her with an OBE today, honouring her services to charity and the Armed Forces at her investiture at the Palace Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.
One of 70 people honoured by HRH in Scotland, Lorraine explained to the Daily Mail that she couldn't stop herself from sobbing throughout the service:
"I cried all the way through, I don't know what the Queen must have thought. I was just a bit overcome by it all to be honest."
Aw, it's nice to see such respect for the Royal Family, isn't it?
The Daybreak presenter went on to explain exactly what she received her OBE for, listing the many charities she has tirelessly worked alongside over the years:
"I got the OBE for charity work and for supporting the Armed Forces. I am an Honorary Colonel of the Black Watch Cadets, I support Help for Heroes, Tayside veterans, Poppyscotland, Sightsavers, MS Society, The Eve Appeal and Comic Relief."
"I'm so honoured to be awarded the OBE and it's even more special as it’s Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee year."
Congratulations Lorraine, you deserve it!
