Beyonce, Jay-Z and Chris Brown were among the big winners at last night's BET Awards, which took place in Los Angeles.
The 'Love On Top' singer walked away with Best Female R&B Artist at the star studded ceremony, while, Jay-Z and Kanye West were named Best Group for their Watch The Throne collaboration which also saw them claim Video Of The Year with their chat topper 'Otis'.
Taking to the stage to collect the award, West said: "I wish Jay-Z was here to say something politically correct for me."
Jay-Z then made a surprise appearance, accepting the award by saying that the two performers were determined not to "rely on our name" while working on the album.
Other winners of the night included Chris Brown, who was crowned Best Male R&B Artist, Entertainer Of The Year and won the FANdemonium awards on the night.
Wretch 32 also won big at the ceremony taking home the prize fir Best UK act. Soon after he took to Twitter to show his appreciation.
"Wow #betawards I finally won sutum lol ahhh yeaaa #teamuk," he tweeted.
This year's BET Awards saw live performances from Chris Brown, Usher and Nicki Minaj who joined a host of celebrities tribute to Whitney Houston.
