Whilst fans of both Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are most probably mourning the end of their five year marriage, reports have alleged that Katie's parents are happy that their daughter has ended her marriage to the 'Rock Of Ages' star.
News of her split from Tom came yesterday when People magazine reported Katie's attorney saying in a statement:
Revealing that Katie's parents found it hard to watch their daughter being reportedly controlled by Tom, a source told Radar Online:
“'It's been tough for them over the past five years to watch Katie be controlled by Tom and they really felt that they had lost their daughter to some extent.
“So, that's the one bright side to the divorce — they feel like they're getting the old Katie back again.”
