Kate Middleton has sure lightened up the nation and done wonders for high-street stores such as Zara and Reiss, but with the wedding costs last year and extra costs on top of that, the Duchess has caused Prince Charles to fork out £700,000.
The Prince of Wales has made his much anticipated official accounts for the last financial year public, which has inevitably caused a stir due to how much money Kate has cost her new father-in-law.
The Daily Mail released an estimated sum of what the Duchess’ clothes alone have cost Prince Charles, and what was already a staggering £35,000 has gone up to an unbelievable £100,000. She sure loves her Alexander McQueen!
However, all other costs incurred by the addition Kate Middleton joining the Royal family have been reasonably minimal, with only 2.1 extra full time staff being employed to help manage the extra company.
Prince Charles hasn’t had to dish out additional property either, and Kate doesn’t even have any personal staff such as a dresser, butler or personal servants, famously wanting to do everything herself and act as a normal housewife to husband Wills.
The cost of the Royal wedding was split between Prince Charles, The Queen and Kate’s family, and is reportedly said to have set them back by approximately £500,000.
