Following the departure of Ann Curry as Matt Lauer's co-host on the Today Show, the show's legal analyst Savannah Guthrie stepped in as Matt's new co-host on this morning's edition of the show.
Despite the reports that Savannah would be named as Ann's permanent replacement on today's show, no such announcement was made. According to USA Today Savannah reported on the news and laughed and joked with the rest of the team.
Savannah's role on the show comes after she joined the NBC network in 2007 as the White House correspondent, before moving onto the Today show where she joined Al Roker and Natalie Morales to present the third hour of the show.
Since bidding a tearful farewell to the show earlier this week, Ann has decided to stay quiet on Twitter.
