'The Green Lantern' star Ryan Reynolds has been chosen to play the lead in the latest Hollywood blockbuster from the 1980s to get a makeover, 'Highlander'.
Reynolds will play Conor MacLeod, played by Christopher Lambert in the original film, which spawned a number of sequels to make up a successful franchise according to The Tracking Board.
The new movie is to be directed by '28 Weeks Later' director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.
Fresnadillo could also write the script, which, if it follows the same concept as the original fantasy movie, will see MacLeod as an immortal tortured by centuries of having to live as such, fighting for the prize of his own mortality.
