We sat down with Geordie Shore love birds Vicky and Ricci to quiz them about their biggest celebrity fan of the show, Cheryl Cole.
Of course Cheryl herself is a Newcastle native, and she’s told various news outlets that she is a fan of the show, including telling BBC Radio One DJ Chris Moyles, “I watch it. Honest to God it's like unbelievable viewing.”
25-year-old Ricci explained, “She’s a proud Geordie… With her not going back to Newcastle a lot and stuff like that, it’ll be nice hearing the accent, seeing Geordies, she will miss it. She’s a proper homebird as well isn’t she?”
Cheryl previously told Chris Moyles: “It's a guilty pleasure… I record it. When I watch Geordie Shore it makes me feel like I have familiar accents and I can go to sleep. Is that weird?”
24-year-old Vicky suggested that the singer might be reminiscing about her own memories growing up in Newcastle, “It’ll be a proper trip down memory lane for her I think… [she’ll] enjoy watching the places where she probably spent her childhood as well."
Vicky concluded, “It’s a massive compliment, for a Geordie to be told that the Queen of Geordies watches your show, knows who you are - is the biggest accolade we could get really.”
