'The Amazing Spider-Man' co-stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone fell in love on set, and haven't really made a secret of their romance in the lead up to the release of the new movie, but now the actor has revealed he felt he “couldn't let her get away” after her first audition.
Emma was screen-testing for the role of Gwen Stacy and the actor admits that he felt like he “woke up” when she walked into the room.
Andrew had a long wait though as she was the last person on the list.
Talking to Teen Vogue, Andrew said: "It was like I woke up when she came in. She was the last person to screen-test, and I was so bored of it by then that I was mucking about - I'd been pretending I was Tom Hanks or Seth Rogen.
"And then she came in, and it was like diving into white-water rapids and having no desire to hang on to the side.”
The actor continued: “Throughout shooting, it was wild and exciting. I couldn't help but try to stay with her, keep pace with her, and not let her get away,. Like an animal preying on a smaller animal, but a wily smaller animal."
Andrew and Emma have been busy on their European promotional tour with premieres in London, Paris, Berlin and last night, the couple got very close in Spain.
It's thought that the new movie could rake in an impressive $150 million in its debut week.
