It looks like 'Jurassic Park 4' will now be happening, as 'Planet Of The Apes' writers Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa have been hired to write the script.
A fourth film was always doubtful, as after the poor quality third film in the franchise producers were adamant that the quality of the script for any fourth film had to be extremely high in order for a fourth film to be made.
However Steven Spielberg will not be behind the camera, although he will be involved, earlier this year he told Collider: "I don’t want to talk about Jurassic Park 4 yet – it’s too early – but I can tell you that I’m not directing it. I’m producing it though."
The news will divide 'Jurassic Park' fans, with some desperate for a new movie, but others worried that any new film may tarnish the memory of the classic first film and well-regarded second.
However the news that heavyweight scriptwriters are being engaged, and that Spielberg will oversee things should calm fans' worst fears, until the movie comes out and raptors are flying at them that is.
