Penelope Cruz wowed in a violet lace dress last night when she attended the screening of her latest movie, 'To Rome with Love' in New York.
The stunning actress joined other celebs in the growing gothic trend when she stepped out in the Michael Kors off shoulder deep purple number that gripped onto her every curve.
Woody Allen’s latest leading lady rocked the beautiful vampy frock detailed with long laced sleeves and a charcoal overlay. Yet her bronzed complexion and luscious flowing warm brunette locks gave the Gothic look a Latino twist.
Whilst Penelope is following in the footsteps of Emma Stone and Kristen Stewart with this new carpet trend, she’s making it alright for tanned babes to don this look just as great, and she looks gorgeous for it.
The 38-year-old actress looked beyond elegant in the demure number, with its straight neckline and intricate detailing adding a little more class.
Penelope teamed the design with a pair of matching satin peep toe heels and a simple clutch bag, and kept her make-up sun-kissed and natural, unlike other celebs that have gone for deep plum lips with the vampy trend.
And to give it an even softer approach, the star wore her brunette tresses in tumbling curls that sat around her shoulders, giving us a flash of her diamond drop earrings sparkling through her locks.
The Hollywood actress appears to be a loyal fan of Michael Kors, having been spotted in another dress by the designer just last week to the L.A premiere of To Rome with Love.
Looks like being a creature of habit has paid off... top marks from us, Penelope.
