Maroon 5, Justin Bieber And Cheryl Cole Fight It Out In The Charts

Maroon 5 are set to claim their first UK no.1 as the midweek album chart is released

Adam Levine and co. are headed to their first ever UK number one single this week, with their latest track ‘Payphone’ currently leading the midweek singles chart, pushing Cheryl Cole’s ‘Call My Name’ down to two.

Flo Rida slides down to three with ‘Whistle’, while girl group Stooshe enter the running at four with their latest single ‘Black Heart’.

Coldplay and Rihanna are sharing fifth place, while Paloma Faith’s ‘Picking Up The Pieces’ has moved up to number 11.

Rihanna is in the chart again at 15 with ‘Where Have You Been’, and Scottish girl Emeli Snade is on place behind at 16 with ‘My Kind Of Love’.

Katy Perry has jumped 11 places to 20 with her latest offering ‘Wide Awake’, while Paul Weller's birthday gift to Paul McCartney, a re-recording of ‘Birthday’ enter the charts at 30.

While Cheryl is being dislodged from her position as last weeks number one single, Justin Beiber is ahead of her in the album chart, and on course to claim his first ever UK number 1 album

‘Believe’ is ahead of ‘Cheryl Cole’s ‘A Million Lights’ in the number one spot by 3,000 copies currently.

Paloma Faith’s album, ‘Fall To grace’ is at number three while ‘Lights’ by Amy McDonald and ‘Our Version Of Events’ are at four and five.

Meanwhile Carrie Underwood’s UK debut ‘Blown Away’ claims the number 10 spot. While Reverand And The Makers are at 13 with ‘@Reverend_Makers’ and the Smashing Pumpkins trail them by one with ‘Oceania’ at 14.
