London-born singer/songwriter Eugene McGuinness is set to release his upcoming album 'The Invitation to the Voyage' on August 6 - and although not many may of heard of the experimental singer just yet, he's set to play a number of gigs to showcase his album over the Summer months and we see him as a definite 'One To Watch'.
The singer has already been compared to the likes of Miles Kane and his cover of Lana Del Rey's 'Blue Jeans' gained a lot of positive coverage (watch vid below).

Speaking to DIY about the record, McGuinness said: "I wanted it to be an honest account of where I’m at, and what I want to do. I also wanted to make a pop album, but I didn’t want it to come across as some sort of mad experiment. It goes off in a few different directions and it embraces a few different things."
The Guardian have also described Eugene as 'pop perfection' and with his distinctive, pop yet soulful voice - Eugene's music career is surely set to go from strength to strength.
You can catch Eugene McGuinness at The Macbeth for This Feeling, London on Saturday (June 23). Set to be the gig of the week.
