Viva Brother Relaunch Themselves As Pop Act LoveLife

The new band unveil new material after first gigs in New York

Leonard Newell frontman of Viva Brother has unveiled his new band LoveLife and new material before jetting off to New York.

The Slough singer has formed his new band with producer, and former Mirrors member Ally Young naming themselves Lovelife.

The band has launched a webpage www.lvlf.info which debuts three songs, as well as directing fans to their social media outputs.

The tracks ooze synth and a definite 80’s feel to them – a stark contrast to Newell’s Viva Brother days.

The band jetted off to New York last week for their live debut at CAMEO in Brooklyn, with another date set in Brooklyn at The Rock Shop on June 23.

The duo seem content to try and break New York before anything else happens, with band responding to a question of when they’ll be touring the UK with: “We will be playing in the UK, though we haven't got anything booked yet. Certainly later this year though.”

The band have three songs available to listen top on their webpage – ‘Brave Face’, ‘She Makes It Look Easy’ and ‘Love Rush’- but have yet to reveal any details of an official release.

Viva Brother confirmed their split back in April of this year, with many believing it to be an April fools joke due to the date they released the statement.
