US reviews for Bristol Palin’s new reality show have not been favourable after her lifestyle was deemed "unrealistic" for a single mother of her age.
Life’s A Tripp is named after Bristol’s son, Tripp, aged three, and airs on US channel, Lifetime.
The San Francisco Chronicle explained, “Bristol's experiences trying to make it on her own in Los Angeles clearly don't reflect what most 21-year-old single moms would face relocating from Wasilla, Alaska, to the City of Angels.”
The reviewer suggests that Bristol is not gripping enough character to carry an entire TV show, “The challenge is that she's just not that interesting. She's not especially glamorous.”
Referring to Jersey Shore star Snooki and her ratings-winning wild antics on MTV, the critic explains, “At the other end of the spectrum, [Bristol] is no Alaskan Snooki, either.”
On the show Bristol reportedly has a disagreement with a man who approaches her in a bar and calls her mother, Sarah Palin, a whore. Bristol reacts by saying, “Is it because you're a homosexual?”
Controversial Bristol, who has also appeared on Dancing With The Stars, rose to fame in 2008 when her mother Sarah was chosen as Presidential candidate John McCain’s running mate for the US election.
