Beyonce is such a superstar that you wouldn't think she needed help with anything, but that won't stop close pal Gwyneth Paltrow giving her a shove back in the direction of acting.
The two have become friends due to their husbands', Jay-Z and Chris Martin, close friendship, and now Gwynnie wants to stick her oar in and get her pal a leg up in the film industry.
Beyonce is no stranger to the cameras, starring in movies like 'Austin Powers: Goldmember' and 'Dream Girls', yet Ms Paltrow apparently wants to give her a boost by arranging a meeting with legendary director Steven Spielberg.
According to The Sun a source close to the actress said: "Gwyneth is arranging a meeting and also has ideas about a mini-movie for an upcoming music video."
The paper reports the insider as claiming that the reason for Gwyneth's meddling is the fact that Beyonce wants to move on from lighthearted roles and get meatier dramatic parts. In the past there's been a sense that the 'Crazy In Love' star has been cast as a big name to draw fans rather than because of her acting credentials.
It just goes to show, even for megastars with millionaire music mogul hubbies, it's not what you know but who you know. One can only pray that Beyonce doesn't return the favour and get Gwyneth into singing.
