Following the controversy Benedict caused after telling the housemates that he had “masturbated in the shower”, he felt it was time to address the issue and get “young people to realise it’s a perfectly normal thing to do”.
Having what can only be described as 'the most awkward chat known to man' with Caroline in the bedroom, he still didn’t quite manage to convert housemates to his way of thinking. It was clear that Caroline felt awkward and on edge during the conversation, and nervously laughing she told him “sorry, I just feel uncomfortable”.
Benedict wasn’t happy that he couldn’t get his point across. After attempting to have a serious conversation with Caroline and failing, he stormed out of the bedroom in anger.
However once he had cooled off and Caroline had composed herself, they continued the chat with Benedict telling the 20-year-old that her attitude is the kind of attitude that he is “trying to fight against”.
Agreeing to disagree, and realising that maybe the shower wasn’t quite the right place to do what he did, Benedict apologised for his actions.
Despite his apology, not all housemates were happy with the justification that he had given. Lydia and Becky were gossiping in the bathroom and Lydia confessed that she was “really shocked” and couldn’t believe that Benedict just admitted that he had gone on the show to “talk about masturbation”.
And the masturbation chat didn’t end there. Later on in the night Lydia, Deana, Lauren and Benedict were talking in the garden and joking that the ex-teacher come porn star would be given the nickname “shower boy” or “masturbation messiah”. Refusing to see the funny side of the conversation, Benedict repeated that he is simply “attempting to represent an opinion that many people find hard to express”.
