Woody Allen’s estranged son Ronan has made a dig at the director over his relationship with step-daughter Soon-Yi tweeting a “happy brother-in-law’s day” message.
Perhaps boasting the strangest and most controversial family dynamic in Hollywood, the 25 year-old Ronan is both son and brother-in-law to Woody who he has not spoken too since the movie legend became romantically involved with Soon-Yi in 1992 shortly after breaking up with her adopted mother Mia Farrow.
“Happy father's day - or as they call it in my family, happy brother-in-law's day.”
Even after 20 years there is still bitterness when it comes to the shocking romance with his mother, actress Mia Farrow retweeting the message adding the word “boom”.
The 76 year-old New Yorker was in a relationship with Farrow for ten years and though they were never legally married acted as a father figure to Soon-Yi who was adopted by the actress and her second husband Andre Previn as well as having Ronan.
The couple married in 1997 and have two children.
