Former Friends actor Matt LeBlanc played loveable character Joey Tribbiani for 10 years on the hit sitcom before landing his own spin-off, Joey. But the 44-year-old actor doesn’t want to re-visit old times, explaining that the series was about “a finite period of time” for the famous six.

Matt, who starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer in the nineties sitcom, has recently won critical acclaim for his role on the BBC2 series, Episodes.

Matt plays a fictional version of himself on Episodes, which was created by Friends co-creator David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik, winning a Golden Globe for his role earlier this year.

Matt explained to Entertainment Weekly that the show captured a certain special time in the lives of a group of friends, “Before you got married and went off to start your life with a family. It was that magical time that everyone can relate to. To see what we're all doing now… I'd rather imagine that.”

He went on to clarify: “Everyone's going to have different vision of what those characters are like, so to have that materialise is going to disappoint most people. A couple of people will go, 'That's what I thought!' but for the most part it's going to let people down. It's better to let them just think.”

Matt concluded, “I don't want to see old Joey.”
