Contrary to reports, controversial rapper Drake was not arrested at his gig in Long Island last night, despite police wanting to talk to him about an alleged brawl between his and Chris Brown's entourages last week.
The NYPD told MTV News yesterday that they did not plan to arrest the hip-hop star, but according to TMZ, they did insisr on extra security at the gig because they feared reprisals from last week's incident.
However according to MTV, Drake's people don't see that Drake has any questions to answer, with his record company Cash Money's CEO Birdman saying: "To me, Drizzy [Drake] ain't did nothin' wrong, he ain't done nothin' wrong to nobody.
"He's just doin' great music. He's not a reckless guy out there just wildin' out; he's a humble kid makin' great music."
Despite not arresting Drake the NYPD seem determined to take a tough line on the alleged fracas, with the club where it occured being closed down for multiple violations, some believed to centre the rapper's big fight.
